4/2/24  Great being back in Ohio County doing training for service personnal and staying in the Highlands.  Even got to eat in my of my favorite resturants Cheddars.  Love their chicken pot pies.

8/27/23- I had the chance to do onsite training with three counties this summer. Monogalia, McDowell, and Wyoming.  I spent a few days in Beckley which is one of my favorite places in the state to stay.

2/13/23- It's always a pleasure to visit Ohio County thank you again for having me.

9/25/22 - This was a busy summer of training.  We worked with the Pendelton, Putnam, Ohio, Greenbrier and McDowell County Schools.  I spent the weekend in Beckley and want to give a shout out to Balanced Life Studio for some terrific Yoga on the Mountain.  If you are ever in the area check them out they are a treasure.  Beckley has so much to offer.

3/5/22  With the pandemic subsiding a number of districts are again looking to do in person training.  We are here to meet that need.  Of course, we can still do programs online and on demand if that is your preference..

1/24/22  MS Excel Series Starts Soon.

We have had a few counties ask us to develop material for staff that can viewed online in snow and remote days.  Rates are very reasonable and are per video not per person.  We have materials for Bus Driver and Bus Aides, Classroom and other Aides, Cooks, Secretaries and Maintenance Staff.

Planning for this year:

With things opening up, we are hopeful that this school year will be close to normal and onsite training will again be safe and feasible.  We are ready to meet your needs.  We also will continue to offer virtual training for those who feel that format would be better.

Wood County Schools- With concerns about Covid remaining an issue in the Mountain State, many counties are opting for Online Training to avoid being staff together in large groups.  This especially true for larger counties.  Last week we facilitated a 6 hour training for facilities staff in Wood County online.   We are hoping come spring, we can go back to an onsite format.

9/13/21  It was great to get back on the road and do onsite training for Jackson and Ritchie Counties this August.  We also did two virtual days for Mingo County.

Warm Weather is here:

5/26/20:  With the warm weather upon us its a great time to enjoy the wonderful natural beauty of West Virginia.

  Wood County Schools 10-16-20 and 2/12/21, 4/16/21

On October 16th we facilitated our first of its kind for wood county virtual professional developmnent for service personnel.  Because of rising cases we had employees in small groups around the county logging in to participate in the training.  Topics were:  Covid cleaning procedures and blood bourne pathogents, and Safety and Right to know for facilitated staff.  For Office Staff  Strategies for Exceptional Customer Service.  For Bus Drivers and Aides Effective Student Management.  Our last session was Excel Tips and Tricks and Time Management for office staff and Anti Bullying and Understanding kids with disabilities for Bus operators, monitors and autism aides.

7/26/20  Covid 19 Update

West Virginia has seen some of the lowest cases of COVID 19 in the country with about 6,854 positive cases and 117 deaths.   Not surprising counties with the largest populations have tended to have the most cases. Schools will likely open in August, but what things will look like is uncertain. On the staff development front, we anticipate most staff development will be online at least until next spring.  We are gearing up to help counties with that process.

11/23/19  Wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving and Marry Xmas and Happy Holidays.  Question is it too early to put up the Christmas Lights?

10/11/19 - Thanks to the folks at Brooke County Transportation for having us again.  Our topic this time was understanding students with disabilities.

7/26/19  Kanawha County does a custodial conference just before the opening of school every year.  This year I was the keynoter on the topic of Situational Awareness.  The staff seemed very engaged in this important topic.

2/25/19  Webster is a small country I have visited before.  Both to save travel and keep costs down I did training for Office and Food Service staff on Strategies for Exceptional Customer Service.  This is a great option for a county with limited resources.

2/15/19 Great working with the transportation folks at Brooke County Schools.

2/18/19  Great fun working with Bus Drivers at the Brooke County Schools and it was close enough to Wheeling to sneak in a little Yoga at Wild Goat Yoga .   Always happy to give them a shout out:   https://www.wheelingyoga.com

10/27/18

Thanks again for the wonderful warm welcome from the service personnel of the OHIO County Schools.  This was my second trip this year to Wheeling and another opportunity to do Yoga at Wild Goat Yoga.  If you are ever in Wheeling and Yoga is your thing this place is worth a look.  https://www.wheelingyoga.com

6/8/18  Understanding children was one of the many topics that we covered in training for special ed bus aides and drivers in Ohio County Schools.   Wheeling of course is always a great place to visit.

10/9/18  It was a pleasure working with facilities staff last week in Logan County.  What a wonderful staff of dedicated public servants doing their best to create a positive and safe environment for West Virginia's future.  Its children.   Next week I will be in Webster County later in the year we are back in Ohio County.

6/8/18  Had a wonderful time doing workshops for transportation and Office personnel in Raleigh County Schools last week.  The staff in the district were so very welcoming and while in Beckley I had a chance to do some Hot Yoga Balanced Life Studio.  The Yoga teacher Heather was awesome.    If you are ever in the area check them out:

Covid 19:  Of course, we are all adjusting to the new realities of social distancing and for many staff staying home and working remotely if that is feasible given your position.  The most important thing is to remain productive and focused we all will get through this.  This could be a good time to build your skills.  We have had a number of district's requesting that we offer online training during this time.  We can certainly do that.  Give us a call if you are interested.
